Nearly 200 professionals from film, games, and comics came together in Helsinki for an unforgettable evening of cross-industry connection.
On Friday 6th June May, Henry’s Music Bar hosted the first edition of Film x Games x Comics Industry Networking, a new event format launched by Helsinki Film Lab to spark collaboration across creative sectors. With a complete full house, the event was a complete success and a refreshing addition to the industry.
Networking Across Disciplines
At Helsinki Film Lab, we often say: step outside your own field. We believe that the most exciting ideas and collaborations happen when different perspectives meet, and that is exactly what we witnessed during this buzzing night of relaxing networking.
Panel on Transmedia Storytelling
The event featured a panel discussion on transmedia storytelling and its growing relevance for creators today. Narrative designer Kurt McClung (Goldilocks), along with guests Jonni Lappalainen (Dreamloop Games) and Olli Raudus (All Hats), explored the practical opportunities and challenges of building IPs that can live across multiple platforms.
Meaningful Encounters Made Possible by Partners
The evening was made possible through collaboration with several key industry partners: Helsinki Film Lab, Writers Guild of Finland (Sunklo), Käsikirjoittajien kilta, Espoo Game Lab, and ODDFest.
